Privacy Policy

LeapArc (leaparc.dev) is an online learning platform for technical interview and placement preparation, operated by Jeyakarthick Allwin, an individual (sole proprietor) based in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow a simple rule: if we don't need it to run the service, we don't collect it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show ads.

• Account

  Your email address and name (optional). If you sign in with Google, they share your email and basic profile with us - never your password.

• Payment

  The plan you bought, amount, currency, and a payment reference. Card and bank details are entered directly with Dodo Payments - we never see or store your card number.

• Service Usage

  Your current plan tier and access period, plus basic technical logs (errors, security events) needed to keep the service secure and working. We do not track your study behavior for advertising.

• Support

  Emails or messages you send us, kept so we can help you and keep a record of the conversation.

We use your data to: create and secure your account; process your payment and unlock the access you bought; answer support requests; send essential service emails (password reset and payment confirmation); and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or third-party marketing. We will not email you marketing unless you explicitly opt in, and you can opt out at any time.

We may use AI tools, including Google NotebookLM, to help produce our own course videos and lesson materials. That production workflow uses our internal course notes, scripts, and curriculum. We do not send your account details, payment records, support messages, or private user data to NotebookLM to generate course content.

Where applicable law (including the EU/UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act, 2023) requires a legal basis, we rely on:

• Contract Performance

  Running your account, processing your purchase, and delivering the access you paid for.

• Legal Obligation

  Keeping payment and tax records for the periods required by Indian accounting and tax law.

• Legitimate Interests

  Security logging, fraud and abuse prevention, and keeping the platform reliable.

• Consent

  Optional communications only. You can withdraw consent at any time, and nothing else breaks when you do.

We share data only with the providers that make the platform work, and only what each one needs:

• Dodo Payments - Payment processor and Merchant of Record. Handles checkout, card processing, taxes, invoices, and refunds under their own privacy policy.
• Cloudflare - Hosts the application, account database, security controls, and course assets.
• Google - Only if you choose to sign in with them, to verify your identity. Google NotebookLM may also be used separately for our internal course-content production, not for your private account or payment data.
• Email provider - Delivers password-reset emails requested by account owners.

We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if a law, court order, or government authority validly requires it, or where necessary to protect our users or the service from fraud or abuse.

Some course videos and lesson materials are AI-assisted and generated from LeapArc's independently authored course materials. Content is reviewed before publishing. Google and NotebookLM are not affiliated with, sponsoring, or endorsing LeapArc.

We keep data only as long as it is needed:

• Account data

  Deleted within 30 days of your account deletion request.

• Payment & invoice records

  Kept 7 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law.

• Support correspondence

  Kept 2 years from the last message, then deleted.

• Security & error logs

  Kept 90 days, then automatically purged.

You can delete your account yourself from your profile page, or by emailing us. After deletion, only data we are legally required to retain (such as payment invoices) is kept, in restricted storage, for the mandated period.

Depending on where you live (including under India's DPDP Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; export your data; delete your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent you previously gave. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 13 - no special form is needed. We respond within the time required by the applicable law, and we will never penalize you for exercising a right.

We use only essential cookies: they sign you in and keep your session alive. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no cookie banner games. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

LeapArcis intended for users aged 18 and over. Consistent with India's DPDP Act, 2023 - which treats anyone under 18 as a child - we process a minor's personal data only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we never use it for tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising. We do not knowingly collect a child's personal data without such consent. If you believe a child has given us personal data without it, email us and we will delete it promptly.

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the following Grievance Officer is appointed for data protection complaints from users in India:

Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours. We aim to resolve them within 7 calendar days and, when further review is necessary, provide a resolution or meaningful status update within 15 days, subject to applicable law. Include your account email and a description of your complaint.
